Capacity Building
Increasing capacity to support our schools
The Foundation must increase its capacity for connecting philanthropy and education in order to provide Lawrence Township schools with the community support and funding needed to help all children.
The Foundation is reaching out to our community to increase the funding resources available to Lawrence Township schools. Our “Power of Community” campaign to raise $1,000,000 for kids is just the start of the Foundation’s ongoing plan to drive community investment in our schools. We need everyone’s help to ensure our public schools are thriving, not just surviving.
Building capacity means ensuring that the appropriate human resources are in place in order to secure greater financial support for Lawrence Township schools. As an example, the Foundation is funding a grant proposal writer for the district who is identifying research, writing, and securing grants that will create systemic and transformational change for our kids.
